Privacy Policy

Effective April 1, 2026

ANI Networks, Inc. ("ANI Networks," "we," "us") builds AI-native electrical and low-voltage infrastructure. That means the systems we design — cameras, access control, sensors, network gear — can capture and process information about people and places. We take that seriously. This policy explains, in plain language, what we collect, why, how long we keep it, and the choices you have. This policy covers ani-networks.com and any interaction with our sales, support, or field teams. A separate Data Processing Addendum governs systems we install and operate on your behalf.

1. Summary

We collect the minimum data needed to run a construction business and operate the systems our clients hire us to maintain. We do not sell personal information. We do not share client video, access logs, or network telemetry with third parties unless you tell us to or a court orders it. Your data lives in US-region infrastructure, encrypted in transit and at rest. When a project ends, client-owned data can be exported or destroyed at your request.

2. Information we collect

On this website: contact form submissions (name, company, email, phone, project details), cookies required for language switching and form submission, anonymous analytics (page views, referrer, general region). From clients and prospects: documents and photos you send us for scoping, payment and billing details, site access credentials you grant us. From systems we install and operate: depending on your engagement, we may have access to video streams, access control events, network performance metrics, and IoT telemetry. These are processed under contract and never co-mingled with another client's data.

3. How we use it

We use information to: respond to inquiries and scope work; deliver, invoice, and support projects we've been contracted for; operate and improve systems under maintenance contracts; detect fraud, abuse, or safety issues; comply with legal obligations (tax, CSLB reporting, warranty records). For AI features: anonymized, aggregated operational data may be used to improve our own internal models (e.g., anomaly detection baselines). Client-identifiable content is never used to train public or third-party AI models.

4. Who we share it with

Sub-contractors and manufacturers only when strictly necessary for a job (e.g., a specialty low-voltage crew, or a camera vendor replacing a defective unit) and always under NDA. Infrastructure vendors (cloud hosting, payment processors, email) that are SOC 2 or ISO 27001 certified. Law enforcement, but only in response to a valid subpoena, warrant, or court order — and we will notify you unless legally prohibited. We never sell or rent data to advertisers, brokers, or any third party.

5. How long we keep it

Website inquiries: 24 months, then deleted. Client project records: 7 years after project close, as required by California contracting law. Video from systems under maintenance: whatever retention you configure — typical default is 30 days edge, 90 days cloud. Financial records: 7 years, per tax law. You can request earlier deletion for anything that isn't under a legal retention requirement.

6. Security

We apply defense-in-depth to our own systems and to systems we operate for clients: encryption in transit (TLS 1.3) and at rest (AES-256); least-privilege access tied to SSO and hardware keys; quarterly internal audits and annual third-party penetration tests; dedicated incident response runbook with a four-hour external notification SLA. No system is perfectly secure — if we experience a breach affecting your data, you'll hear about it directly and quickly.

7. California residents — CCPA / CPRA rights

If you're a California resident, you have the right to know what we've collected about you, request a copy, request deletion, correct inaccuracies, and opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information (which we don't do anyway). To exercise these rights, email privacy@ani-networks.com or use the form at the bottom of this page. We'll verify your identity and respond within 45 days. You won't be discriminated against for exercising these rights.

8. International visitors

ANI Networks operates exclusively in California, and our servers are US-region. If you're visiting from outside the US, note that information you submit will be processed in the US under US law. If you'd rather not have that happen, don't use the contact form — reach out via phone or email directly.

9. Cookies and similar tech

We use a minimal set of first-party cookies for language preference, form CSRF protection, and privacy-preserving analytics (Plausible or Fathom — no personally identifying fingerprinting). We do not use third-party advertising trackers, cross-site trackers, Meta Pixel, Google Ads, or session recorders. Most browsers let you block cookies entirely; the site will still work, but language preference won't persist.

10. Children's privacy

Our services target commercial clients. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 13. If you believe we have, email privacy@ani-networks.com and we'll delete it.

11. Updates to this policy

When we make a material change, we'll update the effective date at the top and, if we have your email from an active engagement, notify you directly. We won't retroactively apply less-protective terms to data we've already collected.
